Re: Enabling App Menu Items when Modal Dialog Shown

Hi,
You can still debug in a Bundle.

You can run:

lldb <myapp.app>

and the application will execute.

Thank you,

P.S.: If its a context menu - try the "menu" sample.
Also, make sure there is no UPDATE_UI event that disables the menu.

Re: Enabling App Menu Items when Modal Dialog Shown

Hi,
Are you running an Application Bundle?
And is "minimal" sample works for you?

Thank you.

Re: [SOLVED] Window not displaying.

@PB,
true.
But you don't know what standard is OP uses..

Besides {wx}OVERRIDE is generating warning, not an error.

Thank you.

Nevertheless, it is still helpful feature.

That is why "override" specifier is a thing, comes handy once in a while.
Except that its available since C++...

Thank you.

Rather than giving up on ubuntu, it would be more sensible to give up on VSCode. There are plenty of cross-platform tools for wxWidgets that are known to work: see this wxWiki page.
See my comment above. ;-)

Re: Include error on VSCode Ubuntu 20

Hi,
Microsoft products are for Microsoft OS only ;-)
But seriously - if you need to test something under Linux - the best way is to build and run it.

For development its either Windows + MSVC or OSX + Xcode.

Thank you.

Hi,
Do you see a memory leak when running the program under valgrind or MSVC debug?

Thank you.

Re: wxDataViewListCtrl::AppendItem: Freeing the data

Hi,
Since the documentation is not explicitly mentions - that pointer will belong to the control and will be freed when the wxDVC will be deleted.

Do you have a proof for it not to be the case?

Thank you.

Re: wxDataViewListCtrl::AppendItem: Freeing the data

Hi,
Please look at the "dataview" sample.
Did you see the "smart pointer" referenced anywhere?

Thank you.

Re: wxDataViewListCtrl::AppendItem: Freeing the data

Hi, This is amazing! How can you create a window if you don't call new? How can you create an application if you don't call new? Moreover the phrase ".. if you have a naked new, you have a bug" - is really, really, really suspicious. I believe it is exactly the same as the first article you linked. ...
