Re: AddCatalog in OSX 10.15.7

Hi,
How is this failing?
Can you build the debug version of the library and application and step inside the function to see where it fails? And what the problem is?

Thank you.

Re: Mac, wxWidgets C++: Can not confirm single Kanji Character in single line wxTextCtrl.

Hi, First of all - are you trying to enter Kanji or Hiragana character? Google says it is 2 different alphabets... Second - are you able to reproduce it in a text sample (from wxWidgets distribution)? Third - what OSX version are you testing on? Is it in VM or a real hardware? Fourth - I presume you...

Re: wxSecretStore issue

Hui, You didn't answer all other questions - in particular if you are using a localized Windows version. Thank you. But since it is reproducible in a sample - you might try to open a ticket at trac.wxwidgets.org with a way of reproducing it. Please also include the answers to the questions I asked, ...

Re: wxSecretStore issue

Hi,
What Windows version do you use? Are you using localized version of the OS?
What version of wxWidgets are you testing with?
Can you reproduce the behavior in a simplest possible sample?
How did you create a store? Can you explain it?

Thank you.

Hi,
What theme do you use?

Thank you.

Re: Translate Program

Hi, Did you try to build and run the sample? Forget about C::B, its wizard and everything it does - it just an IDE. Build the sample. Run the sample. See if it works. Run the sample under debugger. Trace thru all its stuff. THen see what you are doing in your own cpode differently. Check where you p...

Re: IsModified, MarkDirty do not work when SetHint is given

Hi, Congratulations! You found a bug. You should create a ticket at trac.wxwidgets.org and then see if you can find a solution. When you do - mention you OS version, wx version, steps you take in the sample to reproduce the bug and attach the patch to the sample (do not attach the whole source). The...

Re: IsModified, MarkDirty do not work when SetHint is given

Hi, text sample can be found in wxWidgets/samples/text. If you use precompiled libraries you will need to download source code and check the sample. Otherwise - just open the source, add the call to IsModified() (possibly to the Help menu handler) build and run it. I also presume you are using MSVC....

Re: What is your preferred IDE for Linux ?

Hi,
You can also try Anjuta ("native" GTK IDE).
You can try C::B again and see if it still crashes. And I'm sure C::B devs will be very interested to fix the crashes.

Thank you.

Re: Error loading wxWidgets shared libraries on Debian 10

Hi,
The best option is usually -O2 (or -Os to optimize for speed).
But you need to recompile wxWidgets and any other library you are using with new optimization option. And then your application.

Thank you.

Re: Main/Primary Frame/Window should not get focus if secondary Frame/Window is opened

Hi,
Why do you have 2 textcontrol created, but only one pointer?

Also, unrelated, you don't have to cast the pointer that you pass to the dialog constructor - just use this.

Thank you.

Re: Main/Primary Frame/Window should not get focus if secondary Frame/Window is opened

Hi, What do you do differently? Can you make a reproducer? Also - you don't have to use event.Skip() everywhere. Sometimes it can be dangerous. You absolutely have to use for all non command events, unless you know what you are doing. But wxCommandEvent-derived functions can survive without it. Than...
