Uhm, I may seem dumb, but in which respects the 4 pointing arrows are superior to XOR rectangles? If it is a purely aesthetic modification, Andrea. It isn't a purely cosmetic modification, it's actually about having exact control of where you want to place the panel. Play a little with this demonst...

One of the most wanted features! Very Happy I specially like how you can drag and drop windows to tabs in wxIFM or VS2005. Just for you Takeshi , here is my initial work which I sent to bwilliams (wxAUI author), a download link, if it will be accepted it will be integrated into CVS. (I think ...

In fact, I am working on integrating wxFlatNotebook inside wxAUI (with bwilliams, wxAUI author), becuase I think wxFlatNotebook tabs, can offer alot to wxAUI.

My bets are with wxSmith (Code::Blocks). I use it everyday, and it's a bit unstable on linux yet, but not so on windows. I'm talking about SVN HEAD, because in RC2 it was way starting (and incomplete). RC3 will be probably released in few days/weeks, but you can try nightly builds. I use wxSmith eve...

First step would be looking at wxMozilla: http://wxmozilla.sourceforge.net/
and perhaps even using it.

With a K-Meleon based on wxMozilla, it will be the great replacement to Firefox.

Until then, I'll keep using Firefox, because I use cross-platform apps whenever I can. :)

It really depends on your needs. Python is well known for being great for rapid prototyping. Python is very slow, really, due to it's scripting language nature. But the fact that "no-one complains about performance really" is because the good thing of this kind of scripting languages is that they us...

Can I use kdesu or gksudo for only a part of a program?
I don't mean running the entire program as root (if you read my first post).

*nix: how to run only a part of a program in root mode

Hi! I'm doing a wxWidgets app that reads some system files, but it can edit them also. For viewing them, I don't need to force users to "sudo" (open it as root). But for editing, obviously when I'm about to save the changes, it will requiere the program running as root. The question is: can I specif...

I don't understand why the wxWidgets team hasn't included a pkg-config file. That would help a lot to not requiere to use wx-config, which in most cases are in a separate package. As you see, in Ubuntu for example, "wx-config" its included in the package "wx-common". It's simply not intuitive, as th...

Hi. I hope you are aware of the existance of wxSheet , which is a complete rewritte of wxGrid. I REALLY hope that wxGrid , EnhancedwxGrid , and wxSheet will be merged into a single library in wxWidgets source. :) Having three (or two) separate libraries is unacceptable. Right now if I would have to ...
