Did you get a response about the pricing ?

It's strange that you don't find anything about pricing on this website.

The public visibility is always necessary i think, if you connect to your event with dynamic event handling you also have to see the object that emits the event. You can argue if there is need for a sigslot function in wxwidgets because you can find them elsewhere but you can tell the same thing abo...

I had never used the dynamic event handlers before, you can do it in that way to, indeed. An advantage of signals and slots is that you can connect several slots to the signals and i think that is not so easy with dynamic event handling.

Signals and slots could be implemented for handling events in wxwidgets but that implies changes to the wx-library. If you want to use it now for handling events than you have to define a normal event receiving function with BEGIN_EVENT_TABLE(..) and END_EVENT_TABLE() and in this event function you ...

My idea is indeed to decouple the GUI from the rest of the classes,

Maybe your explanation was too compact for the complexity of your system, but i'm quite interested in the philosophy behind it. Do you have a description anywhere (or is it just a design pattern) of it ?

Jorg, i' ll explain the way i do it with sigslot: I made 1 global object that inherits from wxEvtHandler so it is able to catch events This class must not inherit from sigslot but uses a sigslot object signal1 .. signal10 The event that is catched is sended to a signal f.i. signal1<wxCommandEvent &>...

Maybe you are right, but i had not much succes in integrating the boost library . With this component it was only 1 header file to include, no libraries to compile and link.

signals and slots

i wonder why there is no component in wxwidgets to make use of the principle of signals and slots. I searched a bit and i found an easy implementation that works fine. I have only tested it under msw, but the author claims it's ISO compliant. It's just a header file you have to include in your progr...

with this function, you can get a fullscreen bool ShowFullScreen(bool show, long style = wxFULLSCREEN_ALL) Depending on the value of show parameter the window is either shown full screen or restored to its normal state. style is a bit list containing some or all of the following values, which indica...
