Re: wxWidgets+OpenGL+Magnum library

https://github.com/asmwarrior/magnum-wx I create a more complex project in the above site. It can use the mouse to rotate the screen, but it looks like rotation dose not work as expected. Mouse scroll works OK. EDIT: I add an issue in the magnum's github site: magnum + wxWidgets sample projects, mou...

wxWidgets+OpenGL+Magnum library

I just finish building a wxWidgets application with OpenGL and Magnum library support. This is a modified version of williamjcm 's contribution at this branch: https://github.com/mosra/magnum-bootstrap/tree/base-wxwidgets The screen shot is here as attachment, and the code is in the link here: https...

Re: Blender DAG node graph

I found a wxWidgets based project, which has a node editor, see here:

pulkomandy/RapidoFSM: Graphical finite state machine editor with code generator. — https://github.com/pulkomandy/RapidoFSM

You can see the image shot of the application in its github home page.

Re: PB’s Guide to Starting with wxWidgets on Microsoft Windows with MinGW and Code::Blocks

The msys2 now have wxWidgets 3.1.5 version I noticed that there seems to be also a static version? If you look at its file list: https://packages.msys2.org/package/mingw-w64-x86_64-wxmsw3.1?repo=mingw64 I see that it has both .a file and .dll.a file, I think the first is static libs and the second ...

Re: PB’s Guide to Starting with wxWidgets on Microsoft Windows with MinGW and Code::Blocks

Some information maybe useful for the tutorial. The msys2 now have wxWidgets 3.1.5 version https://packages.msys2.org/base/mingw-w64-wxWidgets3.1 and 3.0.5 version https://packages.msys2.org/base/mingw-w64-wxWidgets. To use those libraries under codeblocks, I use such way: https://forums.codeblocks....

Re: Are there any wxWidgets based application/widiget to show maps and GPS tracks

Some information about the C++ code to show the osm map file, I have take some time to tweak this project: https://github.com/Paulxia/osmbrowser Though this project is 10 years old, but it is wx and cairo and expat library. Those libraries can be easily installed by the msys2's pacman command. I'd t...

Re: Are there any wxWidgets based application/widiget to show maps and GPS tracks

So, the only thing I need is to call some web API(maybe javascript API), and I can add the points/track in the map. The track is dynamic, I mean I will add more points when the GPS receiver moves. You can communicate with the webpage using wxWebView::RunScript https://docs.wxwidgets.org/trunk/class...

Re: Are there any wxWidgets based application/widiget to show maps and GPS tracks

The IE-based wxWebView backend is seriously outdated. wxWidgets 3.1.5 offers the new Edge-based one (where new MS Edge is based on Chromium). If you are stuck with wxWidgets 3.0, at least make sure you set the emulation level to the maximum, see e.g. here https://forums.wxwidgets.org/viewtopic.php?...

Re: Are there any wxWidgets based application/widiget to show maps and GPS tracks

Here is my test: I'm using msys2, and I use the wx library prebuild in msys2, and it is wx 3.0.5. I see that the webview's backend is IE. Any way, I can create the https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/tree/v3.0.5.1/samples/webview And the application can run correctly, and I can open the https://w...

Re: Are there any wxWidgets based application/widiget to show maps and GPS tracks

What do you want to do with the co-ordinates exactly? That will help us propose anything we can. Hi, many thanks. I want to draw the path of the GPS receiver on the osm map. The co-ordinates are the locations of the GPS receiver. The path could be drawn as a poly line on the map. If all you want to...

Re: Are there any wxWidgets based application/widiget to show maps and GPS tracks

As we finally have a proper wxWebView on all platforms (since the arrival of wxWEBVIEW_BACKEND_EDGE for Windows), i'd try to find a browser based solution. Hi, thanks for the reply. I just search the internet, there are not much pages or tutorials about using wxWebView, for me, I don't have much ex...

Are there any wxWidgets based application/widiget to show maps and GPS tracks

Hi, I have a USB GPS receiver, which I can receive the GPS information from the "virtual serial port". Now, I would like to show the GPS position in a map(such as a street in the city), when searching on the internet, I see there is a page: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Software/Desktop Which ...

My guess would be the obvious: the different order allows you to specify the event type while not forcing you to list the values of other parameters.
OK, for wxCommandEvent like event, the most important parameter is event type.

Re: wxAuiManager::SavePerspective() Problem

Thanks for the information, by reading this, I found that I have a wrong usage of the wxAuiPanelInfo. I have some thing like: wxAuiPaneInfo().Name(_T("My Panel")).Caption(_("My Panel")) Now, I think I should not use _T for the Name() function, because the actual name changes in different language. ...
