Re: SIGSEGV message during debugging, but not consistently

That's all not helpful. Right now i'd say that either your build is somehow broken or you're doing something weird/wrong in your code which we can't see because you didn't show any code. You need to either: - create a minimal compilable sample that shows the issue (e.g. if it was really only related...

Yes, now changed the windows scale from 125 to 100 % and all become clear and precise.
In VS, project properties -> Manifest Tool -> Input and Output, you can set the DPI awareness flag.

Re: How can I draw a thinner line with wxPen?

Yes, my screen resolution is 2560 x 1440. But how can I make my application be DPI aware ? I'm novice in wxWidgets. The resolution itself is not important, it's about the scaling value set in Windows 10 settings. In principle dpi-awareness is set through an application manifest. How to integrate th...

Re: How can I draw a thinner line with wxPen?

So many years have passed but the problem still exit. I'm using wxWidgets 3.1.5 on Windows 10 and I just tried to draw a black line by one pixel width. And I getting a line no less then 2 pixels width, and a line colour seems to be not so black but rather dark gray. Is it something wrong with me or...

Re: catching keyboard pressed button

is this related to maybe losing focus ? Yes. Only the window/control that has focus receives "normal" key events, and they don't propagate upwards in the window hierarchy like wxCommandEvents do. The only exception is the wxEVT_CHAR_HOOK event. Please read up on its "special properties" in the docs...

Re: Place a wxButton in the header of a wxDataViewColumn

Not possible.

This would be a very unusual GUI design, i don't think i've ever seen anything like this. What would be the purpose?

Re: Could someone tell me how to to build wxMathPlot 0.2.0 "correctly"...

wxMathPlot only consists of one source and one header file. Forget about the cmake stuff and just add these source files to your project like one of your own.

Re: Fire & Forget wxTimers

Looks fine to me. The SetOwner() call is probably not needed, as you're binding the event handler to the timer anyway.

Re: Stop wxRichTextCtrl Text Shifting

The chance that any bug/quirk in wxRTC ever gets fixed is practically zero. The code base is hard to dig through and the original author doesn't support it any more.

Re: wxDataViewTreeCtrl - How to check if a container has child items?

There are many ways to build under Windows, try following this guide:
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=47231

If you don't want to use CodeBlocks, you can stop after chapter 3.

Re: wxDataViewTreeCtrl - How to check if a container has child items?

I guess the native control under Linux behaves differently than the generic one under Windows. Unfortunately i can only test under Windows.

At least the fact that it's impossible to drag multiple items because a single click clears the selection looks like a bug to me.

Re: wxWidgets-3.1.5: can´t build wxgl

Could you try with wx 3.1.4?

One of the new things added in 3.1.5 was:
wxGTK:
- Implement EGL-based wxGLCanvas for Wayland (Scott Talbert).
Maybe this is a configuration error in the make files. I've never heard of "EGL" under Windows before.

Re: wxDataViewTreeCtrl - How to check if a container has child items?

Especially the drop handler looked a little strange. It shouldn't care from where the files are dropped, so it should not use m_SampleListView.

Apart from that, everything seems to work fine, i could not reproduce the issue regarding the selection.

Re: wxDataViewTreeCtrl - How to check if a container has child items?

I don't think any of those can cause this issue. I'm out of ideas, i'd need some running code to play around with.
