Textfile-Parser (wxThread) in a GUI

Hi wx-users! I have a strange problem...i've coded an app with a gui with draggable controls on it. There's a timer which checks a textfile for changes. If the text-file was changed i use some wxRegEx's to parse the file and extract some informations. I ran into problems if there are many more lines...

I would derive a new Dialog-class from wxDialog and implement it myself. I think the extra-controls might change their position on other platforms.

Nice! Didn't know that until today. Thanks! :-) Did you see the listctrl? PokerTracker uses own headers and footers. Any idea how they created that? It looks very nice. For my overlay i tried to set it as a child of the window, then iterated through all childs and set mine always as hwndInsertAfter ...

I'm trying to overlap a window which is a subwindow of another window.

But there are still problems with focussing and activating.

Examples:
PokerTracker, www.pokertracker.com here it works with an overlay.

Yes i tried it. I set the hwndinsertafter to my Window. Try exit(0);

In order to restart your application you should use a guard which restarts the application if the application quits. firebird database uses it.
