Instrumentation Code

Post by nightz13 » Fri Dec 02, 2005 3:03 pm

Hello,

Does anyone have suggestions or links on where I can find some open-source instrumentation code? I'm looking for code to create a meter with a gauge style needle like an automotove Tach or pressure gauge.
The best solution would be code that allows me to place the needle on any background image.

So far I've had no luck with multiple internet searches.

Thanks,
-Rocko

Jorg,
It looks like what I'm looking for. I emailed them asking if I can use their control as an overlay on an image. They don't seem to offer a trial download so I asked about pricing too.

Thank you for your help.
I'm still looking for additional suggestions/solutions if anyone else cares to respond.

Thanks again,
-Rocko

Did you get a response about the pricing ?

It's strange that you don't find anything about pricing on this website.

This was the reply that I received when asking for pricing.

I have since emailed him twice asking about an evaluation version.
I'd like to "try before I buy".
I have not received any response.

In case you haven't seen it already , i picked this up from the mailing list :

Starting from January 2006 the source code
become freely available under KWIC license (a modified LGPL).

A link to the project is available here: http://www.koansoftware.com/kwic/index.htm

Contributors and developers are welcome, as like patches and improvements
:-)
